ABSTRACT
Another Society for Neuroscience conference has come and gone. The 29th annual meeting was held in Miami Beach, Florida, October 23 to 28, 1999, with over 13,000 experiments presented. I will attempt to summarize and annotate what I consider to be important presentations and also will later review articles written in the last three years or so, that I think are particularly relevant.
