ABSTRACT
The sense of dislocation that resulted in these seven young people leaving their family homes also prevented them from returning to them. Feeling forced to be independent, they used the services available to them to access transitional or medium-term accommodation. While slightly less vulnerable than those in the on the streets pathway discussed in Chapter 5, the young people in this pathway continued to self-identify as homeless.
