ABSTRACT

Children often find the concept itself difficult to grasp, even before they develop the

capabilities of discriminating between the head/heart influences of words they hear

or see. As we touched upon in earlier modules, the distinction between fact and

opinion, fiction and non-fiction may be blurred and, indeed, these can be used

elegantly together to great effect. This is something many children fail to appreciate.
