ABSTRACT

Beginning with this session, the teen should have had enough get-togethers for parents to reflect on the quality of the potential friendships of the invited teens. Have parents compare get-togethers in terms of how easy they were for the teen and how comfortable the teen felt on them and about them (ideally, not just comfortable, but more like elated). In many cases, teens with developmental delays (particularly teens with autism) feel more comfortable with other teens with similar delays.
