[8.01/4] Introduction. This section deals with the legal rules relating to seeking business by advertising as it concerns persons outside the advertising industry. 1 To maximise its effectiveness in promoting the distribution of goods, commercial advertising of products will normally be aimed at a target group (see para 8.05 , et seq). However, such advertising also has a powerful effect on third parties, though this too is outside the scope of this work. 2
