ABSTRACT

The use of the narrative line (introduced on page 19 and developed in Narrative lines (Module 38) ) is one way of accommodating both kinds of thinking using a visual organiser of information. Major events can be sequenced along the line (using the coin flip technique and/or discussion and decision). These can then be

explored in greater detail through, for example, asking small-scale closed questions,

perhaps supported by VAK thinking (see Visualizations (Module 20) ) – What colour are this character’s eyes? Imagine this person speaking. What does his/her

voice sound like (notice three things, such as speed, volume, tone)? If you had to

describe this person to someone, what four details would you choose?
