ABSTRACT
The two organisations chosen for the case studies in this chapter have a long,
successful history of involvement with participation in the architectural design
process. Both were established in the 1970s and at that time there were many
organisations carrying out similar work, but only a very small number survived
the decline in participation that was seen in the mid-to late 1980s.
