ABSTRACT
The vital geomorphological content of the report on the Colorado concerned three aspects: the principle of base level, the significance of which has since been greatly magnified because of its importance to later geological theories; the nature and relative potency of the processes of erosion, and, lastly, the generic classification of landforms.
