ABSTRACT

Employee relations responsibilities cut across many departments. Human resources focuses mainly on recruiting, pay and benets, training programs, employee appraisal systems, and similar concerns aecting all jobholders. e marketing department wants to keep employees up to date on products and services oered to customers. In every department, individual supervisors handle employee relations needs that are specic to the people in their work groups, such as linking an organization’s overall mission and goals to the everyday reality of the job.
