ABSTRACT
Most people equate the concept of multiple personality with the psychiatric diagnosis of multiple personality disorder or dissociative identity disorder. In this study, however, multiple personality is understood as a concept that has relevance beyond psychiatric contexts, as will become clear in the following. I will start by stating fi ve theses that I intend to defend.
