ABSTRACT

Gabriel opens his eyes when he tastes blood, his first sign something is wrong. He doesn’t know where he is. No idea. Finally, it starts to come together: He is in his jeep, somehow on the passenger’s side. It’s dark; it’s still, no noise except the engine idling. He tries to focus, looking past the cracked windshield. The sky is sideways, the trees are sideways. He is sideways.
