Observational Research on Generic Aspects of Classroom Teaching: Jere Bropby

This chapter depicts the development of observational research on classroom teaching. Along with substantive findings, it considers the data collection and analysis methods used to generate these findings, addresses certain common misconceptions and distortions in the ways that this research is sometimes portrayed, and identifies some significant aspects that have been underappreciated.
