ABSTRACT
It is one thing to embrace and master the essential knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed for violence prevention and the humane professional care of victim/survivors but there are related issues for consideration as well, without which personal and professional efforts may well not succeed. These include:
• The general stress and conflicted feelings that may be aroused from working with victim/ survivors and perpetrators of violence.
