ABSTRACT

Learning is central to effective coaching and the process of coaching model development. Coaches facilitate the learning process of the people they coach as they identify and plan needed change, and work to achieve goals, making continuous improvements. Coaches, as well as the people they coach, are learners. They learn how each person being coached sees the world and makes meaning of his or her experiences. As coaches develop their own approach to coaching, they engage in learning not only about others, but also about themselves and their coaching process and practice.
