ABSTRACT
I am not sure why the sections on domestic and social issues were included in this survey. I don't see how this relates to a deployment. It seems to me, not to make accusations, that this portion of the survey is designed to get a feel for deployed soldier attitudes and possible voting direction in the up coming presidential election. The questions included in those sections are some of the questions and issues that are major issues discussed in relation to the election campaign. I sincerely hope that they will not be used as a gauge to determine the potential vote of the deployed soldier. If a sense of distrust is detected, you are right. It is there.
