Preliminaries to Translation as a Product

In the preliminary chapter, we have introduced the key concepts required to initiate the translation process. The present chapter will focus on the culminating result of translation, the product. As we discussed in Chapter 1, there are multiple factors that play a central role in the translator’s decisions about the creation of the TT. We will review these factors and their impact on outcomes below.
