ABSTRACT

My purpose in this book is to outline the Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) perspective on the eight major emotional problems that people seek help for: anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, unhealthy anger, hurt, unhealthy jealousy and unhealthy envy. This will be a book on understanding these problems, not on how to treat them, for effective treatment needs to be based on an accurate understanding and this is what I aim to provide here.
