China’s policy of opening up in the decade after the Asian fi nancial crisis

It was during the decade after the Asian fi nancial crisis that China pushed forward with its opening up to the outside world. Since China’s accession to the WTO, China has greatly liberalized trade and investment and committed itself to become one of the world’s most open developing economies.
