13.1 The registrar fulfils a vital function in company law and practice process. The CA 2006 modernises the position of the registrar. Although the CA 2006 restates a large part of the provisions of the CA 1985 in respect of the registrar of companies, it sets out new provisions that further expand and clarify the registrar’s role.
