Preliminaries to translation as a product

As we saw in Chapter 1, translation can be viewed as a process. It can, however, also be viewed as a product: and that is how we shall look at it in this chapter. Here, too, it is useful to start by examining two diametric opposites, in this case two opposed types of translation, one showing extreme SL bias, the other extreme TL bias.
