ABSTRACT
I had gotten my fifth DUI [drinking under the influence], and the and the judge said that I needed to go into some treatments so I checked out the VA [Veterans Administration] in Indiana. I knew that twenty-one days was not going to be long enough for me and that’s how I found out about the VA in Illinois. I was looking for some long-term treatment. So I come up here, and I spent like eight and a half months in the Illinois VA in inpatient treatment.
