Creating and Protecting Prointegration Programs Under the Fair Housing Act

Two broad remedial objectives underlie the Fair Housing Act: nondiscrimination and integration. Evidence of these twin goals can be found throughout the statute itself, in the legislative history of the 1968 Act, and in Supreme Court decisions interpreting the law.
