ABSTRACT

Imagine two parties of trekkers about to venture on a day hike into the wilderness. One party is the Unity Team, the other the Diversity Team. The Unity Team is a single-minded group with the plan to “go from point A to point B” in the wilderness. Having marked their route on a map, they simply compare that route with the signs they read from the features of the landscape and the compass they carry with them to reach their destination. In the terminology of this book, the plan to go from A to B is the scenario of the Unity Team and the compass and landscape features are their indicators. At the end of the day, the cheerful team arrives safely in destination B, each member rewarded with a sense of accomplishment.1
