ABSTRACT
Not all of you will yet be in a position to study only ‘what you most affect’ (i.e. what you most like), but Petruchio’s overall message can and should be absorbed by any committed student. ‘Pleasure’ can indicate satisfaction as much as pure enjoyment – including, as I’ve remarked earlier, the pleasure of proving wholly wrong those who doubted you, yourself included.
