ABSTRACT
B ecause of the paucity of low-cost or highly stable care options,care work is often performed in a state of flux. It is organizedand reorganized due to changing political climates, concerns of fiscal austerity, the success of political interest groups, or changing social conditions that cause us to redefine and rebuild family networks. In Part IV of this book we look at both unsuccessful and successful attempts to reorganize care.
