Regaining your life after an abusive relationship can be very rewarding, but it is also an extremely stressful time. The myriad of emotions you are experiencing takes a toll on you, psychologically and physically. You can decrease your overall level of stress and make this difficult transition easier. This chapter is unique in that it consists mostly of a series of 10 self-exploration exercises designed to help reduce the effects of stress in your life. These exercises will follow a brief overview of the causes and effects of stress during this transitional period in your life.
