Among Heidegger’s writings “A Dialogue on Language: Between a Japanese and an Inquirer” is a highly complicated text. The heavy involvement of prominent Japanese themes in particular adds to its complexity. In the following I present the major contents of this essay in accordance with a six-section thematic partition.1
