ABSTRACT

This book traces a particular theme concealed in Heidegger’s thinking and works, which has as of yet not been made the focus of a thorough and sustained investigation either because of the complexity of the subject or because of Heidegger’s vacillation and evasiveness with respect to it. This theme is the emergence, course and intricacies of his reflection upon East-West dialogue. A systematic inquiry into this Holzweg in studies devoted to Heidegger is indispensable for thinking through his formidable legacy bequeathed to both Western and non-Western philosophers.
