ABSTRACT
Consonant with traditional Christian doctrine, it is Aquinas’s claim that everything in the world is subject to divine providence. Comprised in this claim are two beliefs:
(1) God in his providence directs all things in the world to their ultimate good, that is, to himself;6
and
(2) God’s will is always fulfilled.7
