ABSTRACT

Now we have reached the stage where there are no building types that do not possess electro-acoustic systems. Also, in the open air, electroacoustic systems play an important roles as information services. An architectural or environmental planner must, therefore, have a basic knowledge of these systems sufficient to enable them to cooperate with audio engineers. In this chapter we shall discuss several items that are closely related to the

basic scheme for both the architecture and the environment, especially the sound reinforcement system, which is the most important equipment as far as planning the electro-sound is concerned. Another purpose of this chapter is to give basic knowledge to students for

acoustic experimental work.
