Managing buildings

In March 2006, the Secretary of State for Education announced proposals to rebuild or refurbish half of all primary schools by 2022, with £1.15 billion of investment. In her speech, she acknowledged that there were nearly 11,000 primary schools built between 1945 and 1976, and now at the end of their lives.
