ABSTRACT
It seems reasonable to assume that those undertaking the role of ‘information systems practitioner’ will have prepared their thinking processes suffi ciently. But how could they, given the current ambivalence and ambiguity about what constitutes ‘information systems practice’ as discussed in the previous chapters? This chapter concerns itself with some of the most fundamental challenges in undertaking information systems practice.
