ABSTRACT
This chapter continues the examination of primary job features that are thought to be associated with happiness in an “additional decrement” manner (see chap. 4 and Figs. 4.1 and 4.2). As in the last two chapters, three issues are addressed: specific associations and possible mechanisms, linearity or nonlinearity of associations, and possibly different relationships with different aspects of happiness. The features to be covered were identified earlier as variety, environmental clarity, and contact with others.
