ABSTRACT

Figures enhance the written descriptions of the results of your experiments, Nonetheless, you should also make sure that, as far as possible, all your Figures are self-explanatory. Readers may scan your paper and look at your Figures before they invest the time required to read the text of your paper. Furthermore, the material that you display in your Figures should be so clear and so convincing that the reader can easily draw the same conclusions from each Figure as you yourself have done. I have already mentioned the presentation of Figures in Sections 8.4 and 8.5 and you should refer back to these sections before proceeding further.
