ABSTRACT
Asdiscussed in the last chapter, the production of design solutions can be
a complicated process comprised of many distinctive stages but also an
instinctive and highly creative progression of thought processes. In this
chapter, the various stages and choices available to the design team will
be examined in an attempt to provide an illustration of the process known
commonlyasdetail design (or constructiondetails). In reality, thisprocess
is often based on intuitive skills and not fully exposed to introspection.
