ABSTRACT
The importance of detail design in the production of buildings cannot be
over-estimated as this is the point at which conceptual designs are
converted into buildable schemes. This conversion of a conceptual
idea into a set of plans is not simple, and it is an essential development
in making it possible. It is therefore a point where the success or other-
wise of a scheme can be determined.
