ABSTRACT
The previous chapters in this section on detailing have been setting the
scene for the main event that is the actual process of detail design. This
particular aspect of detailing is in fact relatively simple to describe as a
great deal of the decisions are made prior to this process and others
such as those discussed in the following chapters are complementary
rather than fundamental.
