ABSTRACT

All of us wonder what it feels like to take on a first leadership role. Even people who have done so find themselves reflecting on their initial experiences. So much is learned, and yet so much seems left to learn about how to present oneself: How to move, how to act, what to do, and what to leave for others to do. These questions are all the more compelling for people intent on demonstrating moral leadership. Not only must they master the requirements of leadership; they must exhibit other qualities as well.
