ABSTRACT
Violent behavior seems to be increasing and aggressive incidents occur frequently in schools, as was discussed in chapter 2. The number of seriously injured children nearly quadrupled from 1986 to 1993, and other children inflicted a substantial proportion of their injuries (Bok, 1998). Prevention of violence has become a priority in schools throughout the country.
