ABSTRACT
Three research questions guided the study on non-traditional occupations and women’s empowerment in Togo: (1) what is the meaning of empowerment for Togolese women, especially those working in non-traditional occupations? (2) What relationship do Togolese women working in non-traditional occupations believe exists between the nature and context of their work and their empowerment status? (3) What factors influence their empowerment in non-traditional occupations?
