“I have known since the age of five that I wanted to be an artist. However, it was at the age of six that I knew I wanted to illustrate children’s books after falling in love with The Funny Little Woman (illustrated by Blair Lent) and Strega Nona (illustrated by Tomie DePaola). I checked each of these books out from the school library every Friday for a year just to look at the pictures.”
