ABSTRACT
Robinson was born in Freetown, Sierre Leone, Africa, and studied at Columbia University. He began collecting folktales from Nigeria and his native country for storytelling on radio in Sierra Leone. His folktale collection and storytelling skills helped him with his studies at Hunter College in New York City and the United States International School.
