“One of the greatest gifts we can give our children is the gift of stories. As the youngest of three children, I was my mother’s constant companion. On our daily errands she shared her stories of family, childhood, daily experiences or her favorite books. Listening to my mother’s stories taught me the power of language, dialogue, suspense and humor⊠tools I now use when creating my own stories. Though the books I write are not the stories of my own life, they are the stories of others, captured on pages to cherish and to share.”
