“I was born in Jamaica in the West Indies in a poor village with few opportunities. The Bible was the only book in our humble home. I grew up reading all the bible stories and loved the poetic verses of the Psalms. I think my love of poetry started then. I loved to recite poetry as a child in elementary school.”
