ABSTRACT
Th e marriage relationship, family dynamics, and personal stressors are important components to be considered when determining placement decisions. Research suggests that a couple’s marital satisfaction is one of the best predictors of successful parenting. Th ere are several tests that can be used to evaluate such relationships. Having a comprehensive understanding of family dynamics, personal, and interpersonal relationships can off er an agency information that may be the determining factor in whether a couple is approved for placement for foster or adoptive children.
