ABSTRACT
As you work to become an effective teacher you will gather ideas for teaching and consider ways to implement those ideas. Perhaps you have heard about or seen a teaching strategy that you would love to try, and want to learn the best way to plan for using it. This is an issue related to the curriculum. Before helping you do that, however, we rst need to address one of the questions asked most often by prospective teachers: How do I know what I should teach?
