ABSTRACT
As the Internet population in China continues its current trend of fast growth and as available services expand, the social space that arises on the Internet for Chinese netizens to seek information and socialization will keep growing exponentially. The social consequences of Internet use will have a profound impact on the development of Chinese society in the new millennium. We need to look at how the Internet has affected the life of ordinary Chinese citizens to understand the cyber revolution that is taking place in China.
