ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter, I argued that various social, ecological, and sexual issues, though widely regarded as inherently moral issues, are not in fact so. This is an important point in the context of trying to gain a greater understanding of morality: morality does not cover everything; not every dispute is a moral dispute, regardless of how important or emotionally charged it may be for us. Recognition of this point may also encourage us to be more tolerant, open-minded, and respectful of others, and these are moral virtues.
