ABSTRACT
Contrary to popular belief, e-learning environments have been available since the 1960s, though they were not called that. However, the “e” in electronic has been providing learning for nearly 60 years. This type of e-learning was implemented primarily in large corporations. It took the form of text-based training on large mainframe systems, some shared video or point-to-point video conferencing, and even TV broadcasts.
