ABSTRACT

Post Hard: An Online Play in One Act Post Hard is a piece I wrote, based on the style that Caitlin Sullivan and I developed for our cyberspace novel, Nearly Roadkill. Live chats in cyber space are not literature. They're not even writing, in the strict sense of the word. They're best described as written speech, and that makes a big dif ference. Words come tumbling out of people ; they're real and they're urgent. Much of the dialogue in this piece actually transpired online one night. I changed the names, did some editing, and tweaked it to make it pretty. : :grin : :

I n cyberspace, it's easy to carry o n simultaneous conversations with two or more people. Each two-way conversation appears in its own window visible only to the two participants ; if you choose to be something differ ent in each exchange, you can experience a wonderful splattering of your identity !
